James completed an undergraduate degree in Politics and International Relations (2016-2019) before returning for a master’s degree in marketing (2019-2020).
During his time on campus James was well integrated in the Rugby programme, playing in African Violet in BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) and the National League. He also held the position of Chair for two years from 2018 – 2020.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be back at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é, even though it feels like I’ve never been away,” James told Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Sport.
“It’s an exciting time for the programme and I’ll put my heart and soul into what we’re trying to achieve here. My time as Chairman gave me an insight into working in the sports industry and it inspired me to seek a career in it when the opportunity arose.
“My understanding of Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é meant I knew the excellence and high standards that underpinned every role within Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Sport and the University as a whole. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é, so I really feel like I’ve returned home – I can’t wait to get started.”
