Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é soars into UK top five
The table ranks the country’s 119 universities by scoring each institution for the aspects of university life that matter most to students, such as course and teaching satisfaction, staff to student ratio, spend per student, average entry tariff and employability.
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é has climbed seven places from last year, with 16 of its courses being ranked in the national top 10. The 4th place ranking marks the University’s highest ever league table position and makes it the top ranked university in England after Cambridge and Oxford. It comes just weeks after Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é secured 7th place in .
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Vice Chancellor Professor Robert Allison said:
“I am absolutely delighted that Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é has been ranked 4th in the Guardian University League Table. This important league table bases its results on the factors that matter most to students, which makes our achievement in it even more rewarding.
“Although rankings fluctuate, with universities going up and down, this latest positioning for Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é is yet further evidence of our continued success and is testament to the hard work that has taken place across the University. I would like to congratulate everyone who has helped us get to this position.”
