Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é ranked 2nd in ‘quality of life’ survey
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é has been ranked second in a student quality of life survey of 91 UK universities.
The research, by Lloyds Bank, used a range of sources to look at how universities scored against factors such as accommodation costs, sports facilities, students' earnings potential and crime rates.
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é students rated their degree programmes highly, with 88% of students saying they were satisfied with their course.
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é also scored highly for its sporting excellence, which was measured by the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) overall championship. Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é students have won the BUCS championships for 33 consecutive years, finishing more than 2,000 points ahead of the second placed university in last year’s competition.
Students at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é also live in an area with a relatively low crime rate and have close to 100 bars and pubs to choose from, according to the findings of the research.
This latest survey follows just days after Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é was named by The Times Good University Guide 2014.
