Family fun on offer at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s Science and Engineering Fair
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s Science and Engineering Fair returns in March, offering families a free fun packed afternoon of activities.
The Fair is being held on Saturday 9 March, as part of the University’s programme of events for National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW). The week aims to celebrate science and engineering and their importance to our lives, giving people the chance to participate in science and engineering activities and experiments, and to engage in related discussions in their local area.
This year's theme is ‘Invention and Discovery’ and Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s events will celebrate the role of scientists, engineers and inventors in creating new technologies and solving problems.
Taking place from 1 – 4pm at the James France Building, the Fair will offer people of all ages the chance to take part in a number of interactive challenges, from using a giant Spirograph to walking on custard.
Event organiser Sian Williams Worrall said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate how science and engineering play such a crucial part in our everyday lives – and of course have a lot of fun at the same time!”
